Warm welcome with local produce and Raki, messages promptly in English even though does not speak English in person, taught us all the names of the produce in Greek. Wonderful property up in the mountains about 1hr20 from Chania, cats, chickens etc in the area add such fun. Very homey and welcoming, traditional and real. Neighbours very nice, helped us come.back down when we drove further up the road (as per google) which ended in a dirt road. P.S. bring cat food for a better experience ❤︎ the sunrise from the conservatory is peak

We had a great stay at Giorgos' house. He welcomed us very warmly with homemade raki, his homemade oil and his olives. The site is natural and very quiet, far from the crowds and surrounded by olive groves. His welcome was warm: he showed us around his vegetable garden... let us taste his fruit... The house is comfortable, spacious for a family, cool and practical. The beaches are all about 30 minutes away by car. The taverns and villages are 15 or 20 minutes away. We'll be happy to go back!

An exceptional stay. The house is very beautiful, traditional and full of history, while also being perfectly functional. Surrounded by a beautiful vegetable garden, olive trees and animals, you really feel like you're in the true Cretan countryside. Inside it's cool and pleasant, and it's rarely quiet. There's a terrace, a barbecue and an incredible view from the patio. The host is hospitable, courteous, kind and very friendly. Neighbors are adorable. We were a little apprehensive when we arrived, because of the isolation, but these are just preconceptions: everything is going wonderfully. It's an exceptional way to discover the real Crete and live like a local. In terms of comfort, there's everything you need: two bathrooms that work very well, air conditioning, a very large TV, and mosquito nets everywhere so you can air the place out without any worries. We're 45 minutes from Elafonissi, but the road is so beautiful that we don't notice the time passing. We loved it.
